There’s probably no single reason why North Finchley is so popular – there’s just so many!
North Finchley adjoins Woodside Park, Totteridge, Whetstone and Friern Barnet as well as Finchley Central and East Finchley.
House styles include Victorian cottages, larger Victorian, double fronted Edwardian and modern 1930-60’s built houses and new developments.
Homebuyers and tenants certainly value North Finchley’s excellent transport links.
Woodside Park (Northern Line zone 4) connects to Euston in 21 minutes and Moorgate in 28. Numerous bus routes pass through N12 such as 125, 263, 383 and N20 linking the area to Barnet in the north, Brent Cross and the West End to the south. There’s easy access to the main road and motorway network too.
Others point to the area’s high quality of education in the area such as the highly-rated St. Michaels, Wren Academy, Moss Hall and Woodhouse College. On the other hand, shoppers would say North Finchley has the best concentration of multiples in North London outside Wood Green – and four car parks making it easily accessible.
North Finchley High Road is dominated, not just by larger shops, but many independent, family businesses, coffee shops and food stores but Brent Cross shopping centre is only about 10 minute’s drive away.
And what about the arts? Finchley is home to the Arts Depot, a community arts centre where top comedy, theatre and dance is regularly performed.
As for sports and leisure, David Lloyd Tennis and leisure centre, the adjoining Finchley Lido’s restaurant, cinema and pool complex are other attractions - which is to say nothing of the various golf courses and parks nearby.
North Finchley is hard to beat – there’s so much on offer!
