Choose A Solicitor
- You will need either a solicitor or a licenced conveyancer
to help with the legal parts of the sales process.
- It can be useful to choose someone with local knowledge
and contacts.
- Call a few different solicitors and compare quotes.
- Choose someone that answers the phone to you! You need
to feel happy that they will be around when you need them
most.
- Choose someone that you get on with when you speak to
them.
- Ask family and friends for recommendations.

On the Market
- We almost always accompany potential purchasers during viewings.
- We'll keep you up to date with feedback from viewers.
Under Offer
- We'll be in touch as soon as your property receives an offer.
- We'll negotiate on your behalf throughout the sales process.
Sale Agreed
- Once a sale is agreed, we send out confirmation in writing.
- This letter also clarifies any other amounts that have been agreed,
e.g. for fixtures & fittings, or a parking space.

Draft contract
- Your solicitor will send out a draft contract to the purchaser's solicitor.
- Their solicitor can then make all the relevant enquiries about the property.
Exchange contracts
- This is the point at which the sale becomes legally binding.
- If a deposit is being paid, it will be transferred between the solicitors.
- A date can be set for completion.
Completion
- This is the final point of the sales process.
- Your solicitor will receive the balance for the sale.
- You need to release your keys, and move out!
