Selling your home can be stressful, complicated and expensive.

Jeremy Leaf & Co have sold thousands of houses and flats locally since the early 1980s despite having  to compete for business with much larger firms. So what’s our secret?

Nearly all of our staff live very close to our offices,  have worked with us for many years and are fully trained. Our people really know the area, can advise where money needs to be spent on a property before going on the market and where it doesn’t.  They will tell you why some properties nearby are selling and others are not, whether seeking best offers by informal tender or even auction is a better option for you and, most importantly,  the best price.

Appropriate marketing is vital, not  just in the first week, but until an acceptable offer is secured. Rightmove and Land Registry showed recently  property can take over 100 days to sell if the  asking price is changed or  only 51 days on average if priced correctly from the start.

Jeremy Leaf & Co promote your home with floor plan, energy performance certificate and professional photographs to our extensive database of local, national and international buyers,  on major property portals as well as social and local media. We provide feedback at least weekly on viewings and  online response.

We recommend arranging finance for any dependent purchase before making the property available for sale so that your solicitor/conveyancer can act quickly if necessary.

Disclose consents, guarantees,  rights of way, boundary ownership, utility bills etc as well as fixtures and fittings to remain and, if leasehold, service charges, ground rent and lease  details.

Achieving the best possible terms can frequently depend, not just on prevailing market conditions despite the recent referendum result, but your agent’s negotiating skills!

We genuinely believe we are the best agents to improve your chances of a successful sale so why not find out for yourself why we continue to stand out from the crowd!
